12,000 image timelapse of a mural being painted, shot on raspberry pi

While this isn’t a particularly challenging project,  I think artists are awesome and I love watching them work.

I took a raspberry pi 3 and duct taped it to the ceiling  with the camera pointed towards the wall where the artist was working.  I then ran a script that made the pi take a picture every 15 seconds and store it to the SD card. Over the course of 8 days, this ended up being around 12,000 images.  Using ffmpeg I merged all of the images into a single mp4 and edited the framerate to have the same runtime as the mp3 that I wanted to use as background music.  Lastly I just did a little tweaking with shotcut to do the fade in and crossfade at the end of the video.  Enjoy!
