I’m slowly building up a collection of video game masks in our game room, but the Deku mask is destined for our dinning room opposite Majora’s mask. I found this STL on My Mini Factory and had to modify it just a tad to get it to print in PETG without supports, mostly just thickening walls. Nothing to really share about this print, it was pretty standard of print, epoxy, sand, fill, sand, fill, paint.
All done
I sand as much as I can while it’s in two pieces and easier to get to
A worm clamp is used to hold the sides together while the epoxy sets
Sealed together and ready to start filling
ready for bondo
Bondo on the big spots but careful not to get into the wood grain
sanded down the bondo, time for filling primer
Filling primer FTW
The first coat of filling primer sanded down.
I used some hammer paint to get more texture
Dry brushed some greens and browns to get better color
A terrible fate indeed.
