This is my solution to keep our new front loading washing machine smelling fresh. When the door on a front load gets closed after use, the remaining moisture can’t escape and you end up getting a funky smell. My solution was to take a small piece of 1/8 plexi, heat it up over a metal saw horse and bend it into a 90 degree angle. After it cooled, I attached some adhesive backed magnets to hold it onto the washer, but they weren’t strong enough, so I added a rare earth magnet out of a harddrive that I wrapped in black tape to keep it from maring the surface. Next I attached an adhesive backed wire tie hold down to the front of the plexi and ran a piece of string through that. The string attaches to a magnetic chip clip that just clips onto the door. When I’m ready to use the washing machine, I just put the chip clip on the washer with it’s magnet and wash away!
